"I found HillSong my freshman year because of a flyer I
received which advertised a van ride to Sunday morning worship. I'm glad I
chose to ride the van because it brought me to a congregation which welcomed
me into their church family. HillSong as a whole was genuinely concerned
with meeting my needs as a college student. Between the efforts of the
staff, small groups, and the WatchCare program I always felt the church was
investing in me and as a result they taught me what it means to be a servant
of the Lord."—Joshua Waters
“I come to HillSong Church because the church body
truly feels like an extended family to me, one I love to worship the Lord
alongside with. God has a special place for everyone at Hillsong and it has
shown me how he is working in my own life.”—Christy
Asbill
“I enjoy coming to HillSong because the people are real
and really care about each other. The small groups give you the opportunity
to grow in your relationship with God and with other Christians. HillSong
just felt like family from the first day”.—Krystal
Elwing
I'm so glad my husband and I found Hillsong and the
wonderful people there! We certainly enjoy it, especially the small group.
It's comforting to have Christian friends that you can depend on and
fellowship with. —Tabitha Storm
"I came to UNC with the faith that God was with me and that He would
guide me to the places where He wanted me to be. It didn’t occur
to me that there were more people in my dorm than lived in my hometown.
I needed to find my niche. I went to the welcome back picnic at the Baptist
Student Union and was invited to go to church with some people who went
to Hillsong. I walked in the doors and was greeted by friendly people
who were honestly happy that I was there. As time progressed I realized
that this was the family God intended for me where I have not only been
encouraged to meet new people while learning about my faith, but I have
also been encouraged to grow as a person discovering her gifts and talents.
The biggest blessings of my college career have been hearing God’s
call on my life and finding the church family that supports me in any
way they can whether it be teaching preschoolers, VBS, music, or children’s
church knowing that there are people cheering me on as I run the race
towards God’s plan for my life."—Felecia Clements |
