Welcome to HillSong Church…

  HillSong Church is a Christian Community defined by our adherence to
  God’s word and dependence on the Holy Spirit. We offer a contemporary
  praise and worship service focused on giving back to God. We want to
  partner with you and parachurch organizations on campus to help you
  grow while in college. We also want to give you a place that is your
  church home, a place where you can get involved and get to know the
  community at large. Your time at UNC is special and it can be the best time of your life: physically,   relationally, and spiritually.

  College students add energy and enthusiasm to HillSong Church. While we seek to minister to college   students, it has been our experience that college students minister in return as part of the body of Christ   at HillSong Church.

  College students participate in many aspects of the life of our church by teaching Sunday School, leading   worship, and working with the drama team. There are also ministries geared specifically toward the   college student population. As a church involved in college ministry, we center what we do around four   major goals.

1. To provide a worship context engaging for students—Worship is central to HillSong Church and is a concept that extends beyond Sunday mornings. We strive to make all aspects of worship at HillSong, be it musical, teaching, service or giving-oriented, presented in a way that speaks to college students.
2. To have an active, student-driven small group—As a church of small groups we provide a place where students can invest in each other’s lives while receiving the benefits of Christian community at the same time. This weekly study group is a great way to make friends and dig deeper into God’s word.
3. To see college students participating in ministries of HillSong Church—There are multiple ways you can be involved with the various ministries of this church. Currently students are actively serving as volunteers with youth and children or are using their musical talents and working with dramatic arts.
4. To offer discipleship opportunities in family or individual settings—Growing under the guidance of those wiser than yourself is essential for every Christian. We recognize this importance by providing the Watchcare Program. Additionally, we have people ready to meet with you whenever you need to talk about your faith or to provide advice or a helping hand.

  Our ultimate desire is to help students in the pursuit of becoming passionately devoted followers of Jesus   Christ. We want to encourage college students to stay strong in their faith and we are privileged to have   this exciting ministry to this unique community.
