Ushers
- Greet all with a big “Welcome to HillSong!”
- Help the guests find seats.
- Walk them all the way to their seats.
- Be on hand to assist with special needs (wheelchairs, etc.).
- During service, help keep distractions down by closing doors
during announcements, “manning” doors during service,
and opening doors during the closing prayer.
- Help with distributing bulletins.
- Serve in parking lot when possible―stop to offer help
with children, older citizens, and disabled.
- Be on hand with umbrellas in rain. Assist people into the building.
- Thank all who are exiting for attending the service and wish
them a good day.
Greeters
- Greet all with a big “Welcome to HillSong!”
- Have big smile and warm hello.
- Look for ways to make their time with us easier.
- Help each person feel welcome―escort guests to classrooms
if needed.
- Know where everything is in the church building.
- Know easy ways to access building and the places they wish to
go.
- Serve in parking lot when possible―stop to offer help
with children, older citizens, and disabled.
- Outdoor greeters positioned at entry points of the main building,
extending a first welcome to all who enter.
- Indoor greeters positioned inside the doors of the main building,
extending a second welcome to all who enter and being available
to assist when necessary.
- Be on hand with umbrellas in rain. Assist people into the building.
- Thank all who are exiting for attending the service and wish
them a good day.
NOTE: On your Welcome Ministry Team Sunday, make it a point
to put everyone else’s needs above your own. Reach out to
the obvious guests even more than the “home folks”.
