Sponsor a Child in Kombolcha, Ethiopia

Message from Candy Tennant: In December 2008, my husband and I pick up our newly adopted son, Henry, in Ethiopia. Since that time God has been working in my heart, urging me to help vulnerable and orphaned children in Ethiopia. In December 2009, I went to Ethiopia again and met children in many orphanages and care points there.  These children are suffering from malnutrition and many have been orphaned because of AIDS.

There are 200 children who need help. Would you consider making a difference in a child's life? Sponsorship is a way to help a child. For $34 a month you could provide a child with 2 meals a day, education, basic medical needs, safe drinking water, and more.

Please e-mail me at mblueberry.madamblueberry@gmail.com. I can match you with a sponsor child who would be blessed by your investment in his/her life.

Kombolcha is 375 kilometers north of Addis Ababa and an 11-hour drive one way.

According to the Famine Early Warning Systems Network, Kombolcha is dealing with moderate to high food insecurities.

Many of the children in Komobolcha are double orphans—meaning they have lost both parents. They live with a relative but many of these families can only provide a roof over the child's head. These families are so impoverished that they cannot provide food for the child they take in.

There are two ways to helpsponsorship or a one-time gift are tax deductible.

Sponsorship:
After witnessing the huge need in Kombolcha, Children’s Hope Chest’s has created a sponsorship program for these children. Children’s Hope Chest is a Christian organization which supports orphans and vulnerable children all over the world. Each sponsor commits to a $34/month (per year) sponsorship relationship that provides a child with many benefits. Your funds will be providing meals, clean water, basic medical care, life skills, discipleship and education to your child.  You may write your child as often as you’d like. You may also visit your child in Ethiopia

You can sign up today to sponsor a child! Please e-mail Candy at: mblueberry.madamblueberry@gmail.com

One-Time Gift:
We have obtained a matching gift for the children of Kombolcha outside of the sponsorship program. For every dollar donated we will be given one dollar up to $10,000. Funds may be used to upgrade the kitchen used to prepare meals, upgrade the building, and potentially allow for the education and purchase of farm animals.

We invite you to play a part in a child’s life and make a real and lasting difference for children who will benefit immediately from your support.

To donate a one time gift please e-mail Candy: mblueberry.madamblueberry@gmail.com for details.
